basically me

Hi loves!

Today I'm smitten with this suede fringe dress from Basically Me! If you're not familiar with Basically Me yet, you've been seriously missing out. They're an American made brand based out of LA and the epitome of effortless, boho chic. I have been a big fan of the brand for a while because the cuts are simple, but statement-making and the pieces are easy to wear, but also so versatile.

This dress in particular is, in the words of Kylie Jenner, so dope. It feels even softer than it looks and the fringe detail on the sleeves is different than any other take on the fringe trend that I've seen this season. Plus, the back cutout is an unexpected surprise that I'm all for.

Basically, I'm in love.

house of linnic

Tonight we're bringing you not one, but three different looks from a seriously cool retailer, House of Linnic. Curated with the "woman on the go" in mind, House of Linnic specializes in sourcing pieces that can effortlessly transition from day to night, taking you from the office to cocktails with the girls.

When shopping House of Linnic, you have the option to choose from entirely pre-styled looks, or you can curate your own. For those of you like me who can't stand the thought of steaming out wrinkles or ironing (do people even iron anymore?), most of these pieces are wrinkle-resistant (can I get an Amen), which is so helpful when you're on the go and need to change quickly.

Scroll through to see how I transitioned these looks from day to night and use promo code "thestonefile15" for 15% off at checkout when you shop House of Linnic!

These leather leggings are incredibly soft and fit like a glove. I can already tell that I'm going to have them on repeat all season long!
This fringe tote is so versatile and can transition perfectly from day to night. I usually opt for a smaller handbag or a clutch for night, but I think this one is completely perfect for every occasion!
Lose the leggings and add a sassy pair of fringe boots and you're all set for date night!
You can never, ever go wrong with a shirtdress, especially a maxi shirtdress...with a print, and two side slits. Personally, I feel like this look transitions for any occasion all on its own. Of course, you could add a pair of flats to make it a bit more casual for day, but I always feel like I need a little extra height with maxi dresses.

elli's boutique

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm so excited to share today's look because it's styled from one of the cutest boutiques you'll ever come across -- Elli's Boutique in Valdosta, GA! As my personal style develops, I've noticed that I drift more towards classic pieces (particularly neutrals) that are sophisticated and timeless. Of course, I'll never stop loving quirky, conversation pieces, but I have come to appreciate a simplicity in clothing that is both elegant and statement-making. Elli's is the epitome of classic, but trendy, style, which is difficult to accomplish and maintain. Not only does Elli's have great, versatile basics, but they also offer really, fun trendy pieces that work for many different occasions, styles and body types -- all with an infectious southern charm!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of animal-inspired prints, so when I saw this dress gracing the racks at Elli's, I knew it was coming home with me. When I style a look with such a bold print like this, I like to keep the rest of the ensemble muted and monochromatic by incorporating varying shades of the print in my accessories.

Can I just move this furniture right into my house, please? Southern charm meets avant-garde creativity. Obsessed.
Me with the owner of Elli's, Susie Blalock, who is every bit as sweet and perfect as she looks here.
In deep thought choosing the perfect look.

cherry blossom

Hi loves!

I hope you're all having a great week so far. So, I know that it's "officially" Fall now, but when it's still 80 degrees outside, it is more than a little difficult to commit to flannels and furs. However, adding a few fall accessories to a summertime looks works great for me and everyone else that lives in the South where the seasons tend to blur together into one sticky, humid super-season (it's the latest term in meterological jargon). By adding a wool hat, leopard print clutch and suede heels, I created a look that's seasonally appropriate simply by incorporating Fall fabrics and textures in my accessories.

How do you do Fall when the weather doesn't quite match up to the season? Let me know down below in the comments!
