stripes x stripes

Hi pretty little things!

I know we all love to  mix different prints to create fun, eclectic looks, but what about mixing the same print? Stripes are, by far, my favorite print to wear, so I wanted to create a mixed stripe look that steps just outside of the traditional print-mixing guidelines. I'll be honest, this look was a complete accident, but once it happened (divine intervention, perhaps?), I started to understand it and love it.

There's so much visual interest going on here that it almost hurts (in a good way, of course), but even so, it's still very streamlined and classic, which is what I love the most about it. I think that the key to creating a look like this is to keep the cuts of your pieces very classic and to keep your color scheme consistent or at least incorporate one print -- like a black and white stripe -- that can be considered a "neutral."

What do you think about mixing stripes? Let me know down below in the comments!

PS: These culottes also come in a jumpsuit (I know. *swoon*) that I've also linked in the outfit details.

black out

Hi loves,

I hope you all had a great Monday! I'm so happy that wide-leg pants are back in such a big way this season. Not only are they surprisingly flattering, but they're also super comfortable and available in literally every price range. I love this pre-fall period because you get to experiment with new fall finds while the weather is still warm, resulting in seriously fun outfit combinations that don't work during any other time of the year.

Happy Wednesday love bugs!

We have almost made it through another week (yay!) so I have a little outfit inspiration for you today as you start to think about your weekend looks. First of all, I can't believe that I've gone my entire life without ever wearing this color -- I LOVE it! Second, who knew a silk scarf would look so chic as a belt? It also just so happens to match this stop perfectly. Ah, the beauty of a happy accident.

Part of the reason I styled this look today is because it's super feminine and dainty with shades of blush and fuchsia -- perfect for winding down during this last month of Summer. However, no look is complete without a little edge, which I incorporated with a black leather handbag and my favorite sunnies.

What do you think of this look? Let me know in the comments and find full outfit details down below in the credits!

Hi lovies!

You may recognize this Cameo Collective romper because I styled it in orange a few weeks ago and I loved it so much that I had to have the black one too! This is THE perfect romper because it's structured, but loose and can easily be dressed up or down.

I wanted to keep the accessories minimal since the romper makes such a statement on its own, but I couldn't resist adding this monogram necklace from Swell Caroline! I love that it's not your typical mongram necklace and has such a unique shape and font. You can choose to use a single initial or go all out with a full monogram like me! Either way, it's gorgeous and is sure to become a staple in your jewelry wardrobe.

You'll find full outfit details on everything you see here down below in the credits!
