shabby apple

Hi everyone!

It's not every day that I put on a dress and immediately exclaim "Look, I'm a princess!" (yes, it happened), but this darling dress from Shabby Apple's bridesmaids collection is an exception. First of all, it comes in the most gorgeous shade of blue and is also available in a couple of other color options like pale pink and kelly green. Might as well stock up with all three, right?

Not only does it come in beautiful, rich colors, but the fabric (stretch taffeta) enhances the color even more by adding a little sheen that catches light as you move. Even though this dress is from Shabby Apple's bridesmaids collection, it's actually an extremely versatile piece that can transcend seasons and occasions. I chose to dress up the look with a pair of slingbacks and beachy waves, but I could totally see it dressed down with a pair of addidas kicks and a top knot for something unexpected and fun.

Moving on to the shape. Ah, the fit-and-flare...also known as every gals best friend. There's something about the combination of a cinched waistline and pleating that is so effortlessly feminine that it almost hurts. As Calvin Harris said about Taylor Swift, I now say about this dress: "it ticks boxes I didn't even know existed."

Bottom line: this dress was made for twirling, sipping champagne and basically being fabulous.

Not. Too. Shabby (Apple).

mikarose x bbos

Hi everyone!

Today I'm styling a gorgeous dress from Mikarose that can easily transition from the office to happy hour with the girls. It's so difficult to find a true navy dress that doesn't end up looking purple so I love that this one is the perfect navy and the shape is the epitome of "lady-like."

Not only is this dress gorgeous, but it's also super lightweight, which is ideal during the summer months for occasions when you would like to have a little more coverage without completely suffocating. Mikarose prides themselves on "reinventing modesty" in women's clothing with modest sillhouettes and longer hemlines than you're probably not used to seeing from your favorite boutiques. Throw on a pair of patent slingbacks and you're good to go!

Now, on to the handbag...this glorious, glorious Chanel Boy from Bag, Borrow Or Steal. If you're not familiar with Bag, Borrow or Steal, you definitely should be! You can "borrow" gorgeous designer handbags from your favorites like Chanel, Givenchy and Chloe for a monthly fee that's a small fraction of the original retail price OR you can actually purchase 100% authentic designer handbags at a pretty great discount. The name really does say it all!

Hi pretties!

Today's look features basically all of my current favorite pieces combined into a single outfit. I could go on for years about my love for this Cameo Collective romper from Lyon and Post (the pioneers of "try before you buy"). It's one of the prettiest shades of orange for summer and the cut is the perfect representation of the kind of avant garde minimalism that I obsess over. If that isn't enough, it also comes in black and I've come up with about 50 imaginary occasions that I need it for!

Anchoring this look are the most comfortable (and gorgeous) shoes I've ever worn from Elaine Turner (my latest obsession), which just so happen to be on sale for over $100 off! Oh, and they're also available in black!
