Project Pretty - The 8 Greats

Many of you ladies have been asking about my "can't live without, stranded on a desert island," must have products! So, after a bit of condensing, I managed to downsize the list just enough to encompass the absolute essentials from the most beautiful CC Cream to the best scent for any occasion. Read on for details on "The 8 Greats," links to purchase and exactly why I love them so much!

1. it Cosmetics CC+ Cream

Okay, I'm not one to stick with a single foundation for very long, but this CC+ Cream from it Cosmetics has become a staple for me, because, to be perfectly honest, it is perfection in a tube. If you're looking for a foundation that offers full-coverage, color correction and an infusion of peptides and hyaluronic acid, then look no further! This product has such a beautiful, dewy finish and truly perfects your skin while remaining so invisibly lightweight.

2. it Cosmetics Vitality Face Disk

If I haven't already raved enough about it Cosmetics, I'll continue with the Vitality Face Disk, an incredibly easy step (or three) to total skin perfection. Split into three sections including a waterproof, matte bronzer, a gorgeous coral blush that works beautifully on nearly all skin tones and a sublte luminizing powder that gives your skin that perfect "lit from within" look. What sets it Cosmetics products apart from the competition is the ingredients. By using key ingredients that our skin naturally loses with age like collagen, peptides and hyaluronic acid, these products quite literally breathe life back into your skin.

3. Clinician's Complex Foaming Gel Cleanser

This cleanser has become my "go to" twice a day, everyday, because of its versatility and effectiveness. Perfect for most skin conditions, the Foaming Gel Cleanser is gentle enough for everyday use, but potent enough to improve skin texture with Vitamic C and Japanese Green Tea. For some reason, even if my products are working beautifully, I like to feel them working on my skin. After cleansing with Clinician's Complex, my skin looks and feels incredibly clean and vibrant.

4. See by Chloe

I never know exactly how to describe a fragrance, but I tend to gravitate to ones with slightly citrusy, floral notes that are playful yet sophisticated and can transcend from day to night -- See by Chloe does precisely that. There are so many beautiful scents out there, but I must crown this one as my signature scent for its versatility and beauty, even the bottle is exquisitely designed!

5. Too Faced Melted Long Wear Lipstick

It's no secret that I'm all about a bright orange lip and, even more than that, I'm all about an extremely saturated lip color that is non drying! Nothing ruins a gorgeous bright lip faster than dry flakes and this product cures every lipstick irk du jour imaginable! It is unbelievably high impact, velvety soft and, even after it fades, maintains the power of a stain all day long.

6. OPI Nail Lacquer in "My Way or Norway" - Nordic Collection

If you're searching for a neutral nail color for Fall, then look no further, "My Way or Norway" is the perfect neutral with just enough warmth to make up for lost days at the beach. I usually opt for an onyx or deep berry for the cooler months, but this year I see this shade playing a key role in my wardrobe.

7. C. Booth Honey and Almond Body Butter

Coming from someone with very dry skin, I crave a super thick, super moisturizing, decadent body butter that cures all ills. Not only is the smell incredibly fresh and clean, but the result is completely moisturized, baby soft skin

8. Bumble and Bumble Mending Shampoo and Conditioner

I am one of those fickle creatures that enjoys frequently changing my hair routine in an effort to try the "latest and greatest" in hair care, but I always, always go back to Bumble and Bumble. I can honestly say that my hair never looks better than when I'm using this shampoo/conditioner combo. This isn't just for people who need serious hair repair, rather, it is for anyone who colors, straightens or curls their hair regularly. Hands down, the Bumble and Bumble Mending Collection is a miracle and completely worth every bit of the somewhat expensive price tag.

fashion nomad

Hi everyone!

Today's look encompasses two things I love in life: vintage jewelry (yes, another MADE in the deep south piece...I know, it's an addiction) and bubble hemlines! There's something magical about the combination of the two that makes a girl feel like a perfectly polished princess -- a "rapunzel-esque" braid never hurts either.

date night

Hi everyone!

Today's look is actually a "tonight's look," because it's date night! You know those pieces in your wardrobe that transcend a myriad of different looks? Well this jumpsuit literally does just that -- it's a 6-way convertible! I love pieces that can transform themselves so effortlessly, which is exactly why I chose this for a classic, sophisticated evening look.

The accessories are simple, per usual, but boy do they make an impact. My necklace is quite possibly one of my most prized possessions, a MADE in the deep south piece that makes a mega statement all on its own. The baguette crystals within the pendant paired with the gold chain-links of the necklace result in a stunning combination of pure glamour.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, full of friends, family and fashion!

Hi everyone!

We all know there are a select few wardrobe essentials in which we call "staples." When thinking of a closet staple, we envision classic, timeless pieces that transcend all seasons and venues, extinguishing the ill-fated lament every woman must someday know those tragic five words, "I have nothing to wear!"

A familiar scene for most.

Today, I had one of those "moments." Instead of opting for one of my go-to staples (or two), I traipsed forward, incorporating basically all of my favorite pieces -- subtract one Chanel Boy bag, which I don't own yet -- into a single look.

*please excuse the sub par hair today, South GA humidity is nothing to play with, or stand outside in

Finally, I have mastered the "art of the tuck"...and I'm going to rejoice in this feeling for a very long time, possibly forever.

fringe benefits [everyone]

Hi everyone!

There aren't many days when I neglect accessories completely, but today I thought this Free People kimono carried the look quite well all by itself! Opting for a simpler aesthetic -- which, lets be honest, there's nothing "simple" about a crushed velvet/fringe combo -- I chose a pair of darker than dark wash ankle crops to enhance the look as opposed to competing with it and a pair of pewter, laser cut sandals that look pretty darn spiffy with fuchsia -- if I do say so myself.

I hope you enjoy! See you right back here tomorrow for this week's "Currently Coveting" post! <hint: I've got my eye on some MAJOR contenders for Fall>
